This is the Introductory Course for New Users. In this course, you will acquire basic knowledge of how the telescopes we use work, how to go about planning an observing session and use the telescope interface. Part of this course includes a quiz, designed to test your knowledge on planning an observing session.
Here you will find a number of simple activities which demonstrate how to use various software packages. Many of the more detailed projects described in the other sections of this website consist of using the software introduced here, so it is a good idea to run through these introductory activities to help familiarise yourself with the various techniques and software packages.
